SAN MICHELE AL TAGLIAMENTO
Although San Michele al Tagliamento, with its communities of Cesarolo, San Giorgio, Villanova, San Mauro, and Pradis, has had a long history of its own, it has been able to preserve very little, due to the destruction caused by aerial bombings in the Second World War (1944-45).
This has severely diminished its historical and cultural heritage. San Michele has rebuilt its urban layout, which is modern, pleasant and well-organised. It is a typical small town with a clear appearance, which wants to grow while maintaining its own identity.
