ADIGE

The river of the North

It originates from Alto Adige and it is the second longest river in Italy (410 km). It traverses important cities such as Trento, Verona, Legnago, and it brushes Rovigo. What makes it particularly interesting is the fact it runs through a range of diverse landscapes: valleys, flatlands and plains, until reaching the province of Rovigo. Like other rivers, it experienced several floods, which affected the towns which were built on its banks. It joins the sea between Isola Verde di Chioggia and Rosolina Mare. It is possible to navigate the river and cycle along it.
