CEGGIA

This small town is located on the plain between the Piave and Livenza rivers and still has important Roman remains: the Roman bridge on the Via Annia. The Piavon was also a place where people and goods passed through, attested by a plaque from 1727 showing the tolls for customs on the river canal that cradles the town centre today.

Modern Ceggia is a lively little town that manages to combine its agricultural origins well with various artisan, industrial and business activities.
