PRAMAGGIORE

The heart of the Lison Pramaggiore PDO Wine area is also home to the Regional Winery and the National Wine Show (held in April). This town – with the village of Belfiore – was considered the vineyard of Venice and many of the wines enjoyed in Venetian palaces came from here. You can still find traces medieval and Renaissance times, especially in the churches of S. Marco, S. Giacomo and Assunta in Blessaglia.

There is also a museum of rural life at the old mill in Belfiore.

Worth Visiting

  • The Church of San Marco, a Renaissance church dating back to the 13th century. Inside, a 16th century fresco depicts the Virgin Mary enthroned between Saint Mark and Saint Sebastian.

  • The Lison-Pramaggiore PDO wine route. The route starts in Annone Veneto and leads to the seaside resorts of Bibione and Caorle, with some extremely interesting places to visit on the way.

  • Museo Etnografico di Belfiore (the Belfiore Ethnographic Museum) – Pramaggiore: biblioteca@comune.pramaggiore.ve.it
