ROSOLINA

Located in the Veneto Regional Park of the Po Delta, just a short distance from Venice, Ravenna and Verona in one of the most enchanting natural settings in Italy, Rosolina Mare is known by international tourism as a location on a human scale, ideal for a holiday in contact with nature. There are ancient fishing valley areas carved out by its inhabitants close to a prehistoric dune barrier (the fossil dunes) that slowly advance towards the sea, revealing new paths, banks and landscapes at every bend. It is a dense network of paths between the sky and earth, which connect the land and the sea, the valley and the lagoon, like finely woven embroidery.

This place forged by nature has dozens of modern, well-equipped beach concessions in the shade of a thick, fragrant pine forest and the beautiful setting of an ecosystem rich in biodiversity and populated by many species of birds and indigenous plants.

Enchanting natural landscapes, golden beaches, sandbars and lagoons are the spontaneous elements that make this area a uniquely beautiful treasure trove of nature and rural culture, carefully protected by its inhabitants.

Albarella: the islands of bicycles

The Island of Albarella is a special corner of the world, created by a far-sighted vision and a great passion for local nature. The island has private family homes, luxury hotels, a golf course and state-of-the-art sports facilities, and offers its guests the chance to discover fascinating scenery like the fishing valleys that surround it, in every season of the year. The pine forest gently slopes down to the sea, and there are bike paths that run along the mouth of the Eastern Po River and the Via delle Valli, so you can easily reach Rosolina Mare and the Caleri Lagoon, from where you can also return by boat.

A landscape filled with gradual discoveries

It is an extraordinary natural habitat, featuring dense reed thickets and large tamarisk bushes, which humans have always shared with dozens of bird species. It is fairly common to be able to photograph the great grey heron, great egret, great crested grebe, marsh harrier, little egret, black-winged stilt, shelduck, little tern, mallard, and many birds close up if you take a trip to this area by bike or car. The Po Delta biosphere offers an extraordinary, captivating scene here every day of the year, which deserves to be seen in all its beauty at least once.

And the beauty continues along the Albarella Island cycle path, with the beauty of the Veneto Coastal Botanical Garden wilderness, a splendid 24-hectare area with walkways to the sea, full of countless indigenous plant species, which can be quickly reached by ferry from Albarella to Porto Caleri. It is a unique experience, together with a boat trip to the silence of the nearby Caleri Lagoon. This expanse of saltwater covers 200 hectares, 18 of which are used for clam breeding. The clams are a high quality, organic delicacy that have been a feature on the tables of connoisseurs throughout Europe for years.
